I was pleasantly surprised with the combination of the book and on-line videos. They work together very well. There has been only one little hitch and that was probably because of the different versions of InDesign. Not a problem though as I figured it out. Being a newbie at design I was very pleased with the instruction. Thanks!
I recently started work in marketing again after a several year absence. Although I was fluid in Quark Xpress, I'd never used InDesign. I refer to this book often to help me do my job and it helped be get up to speed quickly.
Good basic overlook on what you can do with InDesign. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn this application.
I found this textbook and it's online resources really helpful in preparing for the Adobe ACA exam. I passed the exam with a very high score and I feel this textbook helped me achieve that. I'm unsure why there is such a negative review on here for this text. As an educator myself, I've used the book with students and they've also had a positive result.
I have to give the book one star, because the Amazon review system needs a star. This book/web/video product is the worst educational product I have encountered. As a totally unbiased former educator, I can safely say this. This product is poorly written, conceived, and delivered. Even the simplest matter of referring to available online practice files is a mess. Don't buy this. Adobe put its name to this product. Shame.
