SPOILERS AHEAD*****This book was very predictable. Nothing was a surprise. I feel like after reading previous books from this author I have read this book before. Similar dialog, similar situations, and a very very similar ending. I could take the ending from most of the kindred series and find that almost all of them have glaring similarities. There is a horrible misunderstanding between the two main characters. Suddenly something happens to where the female needs sex now. The male is reluctant but goes through with it. Everything is all good again. I feel like these issues could have been solved with a very simple conversation. I have to say, I am very frustrated with this author's books lately. I feel like she is rushing them out and she is more concerned about a paycheck rather than the quality of the books. There are spelling errors and grammar errors. I feel like she isn't taking the time to come up with a new dialog. Her books are all too similar to make them interesting anymore. Some of the main plots have potential, but again she is rushing them out and missing the mark. It should not take me less than two hours to read a book. I think I am going to have to take her off of my reading list. I am disappointed. This series started off with such promise. What happened?

To be perfectly honest, I was aware of these giant Kindred and actually it seemed icky. A 6-7 foot Kindred okay, but a9 foot Kindred....too different...creepy. The female comes just to his elbows. But I must say kudos to Evangeline!!!! If this wasn't part of the Kindred Bride series I may not have bought the book...but I have read all of the previous books. A very interesting tale is set far far away. Jor'gen Kindred, a race that thousands of years ago developed when a group of Kindred, in search of females, left the Mothership and ended up mating with a giant race. Fast forward and in a different galaxy these giant Kindred have their own Mothership and are still in search of females..their size a hindrance for sure. Now on a science station run by FATHER, an A1, a lone Jor'gen Kindred has pledged his life to the pursuit of science and never to seek a mate. Along with the other scientists onboard, all are male. They discover the wreckage of an earth ship torn in half while navigating a worm hole. And the body of a female. Calden gets permission from FATHER to clone her to study her species. When Maddy wakes up in a tub of green slime, she has no idea she is a clone of herself. CAlden & Maddy grow close while learning about each other until the other males rise against them sending them on a perilous, time sensitive journey. Can their love save them? Can the bonding fruit plant...hem hem hem help? I am so happy with this latest book. Recently the Kindred books were too many pages of sex for no good reason. This brought the story front and center with love scenes dropped in the appropriate places. Keep up the good work Evangeline!!!!

I've read every Kindred book Ms. Anderson has written and, of course, some I like more than others, but this one... This one is the worst so far, IMO. The H was good, I liked him, but the h... TSTL! I did not like her at all. What kind of woman is so stupid that when she suddenly wakes up in a strange place with a seven foot tall alien staring at her she immediately starts yelling at him and threatening to... splash him?! And not only that, would prefer to be helpless and have her intimate needs taken care of by a stranger for days rather than sit in healing gel to be able to do it herself faster? Not only that, but these stories are starting to resemble each other too much. The sex scenes in most of the books are interchangeable. The same things happen. "Yes, we can do this but o-only because we have to, right?" Ugh! And, I'm sorry but he phrase "straight from the source" needs to stop. I literally cringe every time I read it now. 2 1/2 stars because it's not bad enough to be a 2 but too similar to the others, with a stupid h thrown in to boot, to be a 3.1 star = awful! want my money back!2 stars = bad but not horrendous3 stars = decent/good4 stars = really good! will probably read again.5 stars = excellent! definitely recommend and will definitely read again!

As addictive as the bonding fruit of her stories, Evangeline Anderson produces yet another of her Kindred Tales that tap into women’s insecurities about their bodies while providing a template for the ideal relationship based on love and respect. In this case, it is a giant Kindred Scientist who is living in a self-imposed exile bereft of women who rescues the remains of a Spacefaring Human Scientist and clones her. A relatively straightforward tale describes their deepening attraction with a satisfying conclusion. As with all of Evangeline’s characters, Maddie and Camden each grow personally through the exploration of their interaction with each other. Uplifting and Heartwarming!

While 9 ft sounds intimidating, seriously, who wouldn’t want to trip over a Jor’gen Kindred? Calden is a real sweetheart despite his naïveté showing through at times. Maddie too, is a sweetheart; I think she has now become my favorite Kindred bride (sorry Kat!). Making Maddie a clone and teaming her up with one of the Giant Kindred made for an entertaining read. These two are an excellent addition to the Kindred universe and I look forward to further appearances in upcoming books.

For having to purchase these books, I wish they were longer as I finished the book in a little over an hour. I also wish there was more than one true intimate scene. There were other sexy scenes, but no homerun scenes till the very end.Cute story. Worshipful hero. This FMC was a little bit more aggressive with pursuing the hero, and I liked that. Most of Evangaline's FMC are too wish-washy, but this one was more Alpha.
